The Keslar Home

So, this painting was done as a birthday present for my sister. It is copied from a photo of her home in Clermont, Indiana. It is very picteresque with a large yard and tons of trees. And, since their house was white, I thought to make it pop amongst a background of fall foliage. Notice the little bunny in the front yard - that was a tribute to Letha and Mark's dogs, Berkeley and Kendall, who love to chase and bark at those little furballs!

A Gloomy Scene

So, this was some fun with pen and watercolor together. I really like how the 'gloomy' clouds turned out....

Heavenly Comet

This was an excersize on myself to minimize the amount of brush strokes seen in a watercolor picture. I did that by first watering down the paper all over, and then adding in color. The drenching of paper allowed the actual color to not dry as quickly, thus minimizing brush-strokes.
